Contact

The HADRIANVS project is a collaborative project, launched by the Royal Netherlands Institute in Rome. We warmly welcome all sorts of questions, suggestions, and contributions. If you want to know more about the project, if you have any suggestions for improvement or if you like to make your own contribution to the website, please let us know and we will get back to you as soon as possible.

Peer Sourcing
Every day new information is added to our website and research database. HADRIANVS is expanding rapidly but it needs more support and research to disclose all traces of Dutch art and culture in Rome. Therefore your help is highly appreciated. As a scholar, please share your expertise and help us develop our platform. Contact us if you conducted research or published on a Dutch artist or scholar or groups of Dutch artists working in Rome (1400-now). We invite you to write a short entry (maximum 100 words) and/or a long read (minimum 500 words) and would appreciate suggestions for additional images or links to relevant digital information.

Adopt an Artist!
Help us to achieve our goal to enclose all traces of Dutch art and history in Rome. You can contribute to our project. Make a donation and adopt an artist, or adopt groups of collaborating artists. This way you give the project the opportunity to develop further every day and broaden its perspectives.

Possibilities

  • You can ask for a list of artists that need to be discolsed from oblivion.
  • You can adopt groups of artists that collaborated, lived together in the same area or influenced each other, for instance: the Dutch Caravaggisti or the artists from the Margutta area.
  • You can exclusively support the disclosure of image material on artists that have been extremely productive during their Roman sojourn, such as Caspar van Wittel or Maerten van Heemskerck.

If you are interested please contact us through the form below or send us an email at hadrianus [at] knir.it. We also invite you to contact us if you are interested in contributing together with a group of friends or with the institution or company you work for.
